The Company is a spacious environment with a chill-out area and everything you could ask for out of a coworking space. Private offices, meeting rooms, call booths but most importantly of all: excellent internet<\/strong>. Internet connectivity has always been an issue in Thailand with its infrastructure and no company is perfect but The Company is a place we\u2019ve found to be incredibly consistent. More consistent than our own hostel\u2019s internet, to be completely honest. If you\u2019re a backpacker that\u2019s trying to get some work done (or just catch up on your favorite TV shows without buffering), this is the<\/em> place to go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As we mentioned in the intro, new coworking spaces in Bangkok tend to open up very often and The Company is no exception. They\u2019re fairly new to Bangkok, but are actually a Japanese company with startups all around the world including Singapore<\/a>, Cebu<\/a> and Honolulu<\/a>! With such a wide spread of locations, you know<\/em> they\u2019re doing something right! That said, being a new coworking space, there\u2019s lots of hot desks available and it\u2019s a very quiet place to get your shit done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It\u2019s also worth noting its location. And I don\u2019t just mean the proximity to our hostel. The Company is on the 23rd floor of\u00a0GMM Grammy building near Asok, well-known for being a hot spot of entertainment and famous Thai people in general. Every time I\u2019ve visited, the lobby was absolutely full of Thai, Japanese, Korean and Chinese women waiting around in hopes of snapping a selfie with their favorite pop musicians. Idol fanbases can get pretty hectic, it\u2019s top tier people watching if you ask me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Company also has one feature that makes it truly stand out from any other in this list: a video production room! HUBBA was founded in 2012 right when the startup scene was young and ripe. They filled a market gap at a time when demand was steadily increasing. Since then, they\u2019ve expanded and now have 4 locations: HUBBA Ekkamai, Discovery HUBBA, HUBBA-TO and HUBBA Silom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What puts HUBBA ahead of the curve is their constant stream of entrepreneurship and startup events. They\u2019re the clear cut leader of the bunch with how often they\u2019re able to host workshops and keynotes by local and foreign entrepreneurs. The general vibe of HUBBA also strays from the typical cookie-cutter open working space environment. From the moment you step through the door, it feels like you\u2019re visiting a friend\u2019s house to get some work done. The Wi-Fi is excellent, there\u2019s a kitchen and each location has its own charm. For example, the garden of HUBBA Ekkamai has this whole \u201coasis in the jungle\u201d vibe despite being tucked into a busy area of Bangkok. Working from the greenhouse boardroom in the garden is such a unique workplace that it\u2019s often fully booked by local startups. It\u2019s a more laid back vibe than HUBBA, which can be nice if you\u2019re not too strict on your productivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Personally, I go to HUBBA to really get shit done and to Launchpad if I\u2019m not working on tight deadlines. Sometimes it\u2019s just a great spot for networking because of the relaxation area. I\u2019ll go in for a few hours of work then sit back on a bean bag to play PS4. They stay open 24 hors a day, which is quite a bit longer than HUBBA or Launchpad. The night owl\u2019s coworking space of choice, that\u2019s for sure. It\u2019s located conveniently at the Sala Daeng BTS stop, not too far of a trek from Bodega Bangkok<\/a>. Unlike other coworking spaces in Bangkok, it\u2019s home to more than just your typical coworking residents. Since it\u2019s in an old shophouse that spans 3 floors, there\u2019s more to the building than just the office. You\u2019ll see locals and tourists alike coming for the gym and escape room game centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It\u2019s important to note that the small office spaces are a much better work environment than the hot desks and aren\u2019t too much more expensive. That means it\u2019s the 2nd closest coworking space to our Bangkok party hostel, just a bit further walk than The Company! We were very excited when we read the news about Monster Hub opening up. This is a well-known Japanese startup community that has recently begun its expansion into Southeast Asia. Despite having the capacity for a big crowd, it\u2019s usually not too packed \u2013 making it one of the quietest coworking spaces in Bangkok to work out of. Things quickly change once the evening hits though! Monstar runs startup and entrepreneurship events frequently, so be sure to check out their website to see if there\u2019s anything going on while you\u2019re in town. It\u2019s also worth noting that a day pass is only 250 baht, and you can even buy a half day for 150 baht.
